Sunday Shananigins

Had myself a lovely Rum down the Patti Pavilion, before heading for a family Vegan Sunday lunch. Excellent staff and service in both establishments:

Our vegan Sunday Roast was had at Ground Plant Based Coffe, owned by Helen Wilson, made famous at this year's Glastonbury Festival, when she live-streamed Kneecap's apparently controversial (they supported the end of Israel's genocide of Palestine) performance...

The seitan steak meal was tovdie dor, and thankfully no intelligent, sentient and emotional lifeforms had to do to delight our tastebuds and fill our bellies ☺️☺️☺️☺️

We ended our afternoon with a visit to town, where we bought our daughter her birthday present and shared a beverage in the Swansea's Christmas market:

A Swansea Seagull

Whilst in town, we tookbthe opportunity to explore the new City Library, which opened in the old BHS store:

Another Swansea Seagull

Finally, before returning home, we raised a glass, or 4, at one of my favourite pubs before heading home for the evening:

The Winter Wonderland

Oh, we also sorted our Crimbo Day meal by picking these up from the market's Vegan Brontosaurus store:

Christmas Tree Time

After picking up this year's Cheistmas tree, we lowered into a but of water and let it soak we headed down to Mumbles for a family cocktail:

Other sights encountered along the way included:

Returning home, it was the decorating time:

The Lego Christmas decoration we have been working on these past few days

Precious baubles made by my first-born

And here it is is!

The Observatory

Had a deliceously hearty family meal at The Observatory this afternoon, braving a strong Swansea gale, which belted us with sand and wind-strewn salt to do so.

And just look at this mighty spiral staircase, which used to lead up to the huge telescope bust now houses rentable accommodation:

An Evening Stroll Around Oxwich

My daughter is down down for the next few days and fancied a trip to a Gower beach. And so we headed down to Oxwich Bay.

En route we passed these cool cows chilling on the roadside on Fairwood Common:

Stopped off en route so my first born's  fiance could take a peek at Three Cliffs Bay before cotinuing on to Oxwich:

Driving the tree-lined lane as it desends to the beach:

We were rewarded for iur visit with a very cool sky, but before that, here is yours truly:

And now for the clouds!

With the light fading fast, it was time for a quick visit to Gower's most atmospheric church:

It was then time for a little Chrismas cheer at the beautifully decocorated Oxwich Bay Hotel:

Our minds and bodies suitibly quenched, we headed our into the night  to make our way throgh the flooded street and  the stunningly-lit, by the first Winter full moon of 2025, back to our car.
