Chalice Well Gardens

After all our May Day walking,  we chilled it down a notch on our second full day in Chalice Well Gardens:

The waters of The Healing Pool were icy...

A musician soaking up the healing waters and magical ambience

...but left our feet tingling nicely for the duration of our time in this multi-faith paradise.

The Lion's Head well is the only water that can can be drunk safely, but with it's high iron content (hence the red staining on the rocks around it), it is recommended the only take the odd sip at it or, ideally, to mix the healing water with other water. As usual when I visit this place, I collected a good couple of litres of water to take home with us.

The Chalice Gardens' well was colourfully decorated with flowers for Beltane:

And finally, feeling more relaxed and spiritually lifted than I have for a long time, we meandered down the magical garden, past the Vessica Piscis pool...

...and back out onto the Glastonbury streets.
