~ ~ ~
Guy N. Smith was a renowned author who was widely regarded as one of the most productive writers of horror fiction in the late 20th century and early 21st century. He wrote around 80 horror novels, many of which have been translated into several languages.
Smith, or GNS as he will be addressed here on in, was known for his vivid and graphic depictions of horror, which often contain more than their fair share of lurid sex scenes. GNS novels are typically set in rural villages in England and Wales, on whose borders he lived with his wife and children. These locations are injected with a foreboding and suspenseful atmosphere that keeps his readers on the edge of their seats.
GNS found his horror amongst classic supernatural creatures such as vampires, werewolves and zombies. He also turned everyday wildlife, like locusts and crabs, into insatiable killers with a penchant for human flesh.
