Cornwall..

Regular visitors to my Pixie-Led site will have noticed that I recently spent a week down in Cornwall. It was lovely to get away from the rat-race and to recharge my batteries for a short while. And, as well as making good progress on my new novel whilst down there, I managed to visit a few intriguing and rather spectacular places too. After the long drive down to Mawgan Porth, however, my wife and I contented ourselves with just an evening's chill-out on the coast beneath the cottage we had rented for the week and we arrived just in time to watch the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean. Precious times...

A quick writing sesh in work

This afternoon I finally took an hour out of my day to progress Pixie-Led past a difficult part of its storyline. Given the lack of progress I have made on this novel since last week's writing spree in Cornwall, I was more than happy with the page and half of writing I managed to produce in that time. I am still uncertain as to how the plot will continue through this chapter though, so I might have to let my mind dawdle on the unfolding of this story before I commit any more ink to paper...

Starting work on the first draft of Chapter 13 of Pixie-Led. Heading towards a tricky Chapter 14, where I have, as yet, no idea what is going to happen...

Writing in the Cornish sunshine

The Cornish weather is really spoiling us. And the thought of spending time out in this room, with such magnificent views and the atmospheric pounding of the Atlantic beneath me is really making me want to rise early so that I can spend time writing here in the mornings. I am finding that I can devote a good couple of hours to writing here each morning and I have been cracking on quite nicely with Pixie-Led. Draft 1 of Chapter 12 is now completed.

Cornish Writing

Really enjoyed this morning, sat in our Cornish cottage (which we have possession of for the next week, writing). I could happily settle here for the rest of my life.

Mawgan Porth

I am away down in Cornwall for the next week, staying in a cottage overlooking the picturesque Mawgan Porth beach. The weather is being very kind to me and the bright sunny mornings, as well as the gorgeous coastal view, is really getting my creative juices flowing.

Autumn is here

I stumbled upon these leaves laying in a gutter in my local town today. Looks like Autumn has now well and truly arrived.
