Someplace Different - Twmbarlwm

With my short story Gobble having been published 39 days ahead of schedule, I have found myself with over 5 weeks of free 'creative time'. I am not too sure where I will be going with this, or if the proposed series of fotozines/guides this project may open up has any legs but, ay, let's have some fun with this...

Gobble is off to the publisher!

Gobble, the third tale in my forthcoming portmanteau novel Solstice has now been sent off to the publisher and should be available for purchase as a paperback and kindle book sometime over this forthcoming weekend :)

Wind & Rain/Martham

And here is a fairly lengthy field recording I made of the wind and rain from the bathroom of our holiday let - headphones recommended:

A last walk around Martham

Friday, October 1, 2021

Our last day in Martham before we return home was a chilled one, spent meandering around the river near our holiday letter. A beautiful, chilled day to end our vacation.

I will miss this place...

Norwich Market Chill-Zone

I am happy to report that I passed this covid-anxiety test - negotiating the busy labyrinthine stalls of Norwich Market, purchasing food there and eating it in the public square.

😊

And if you want to experience more of the ambience of Norwich Market or, more specifically, the chill-zone overlooking the market, don a pair of your finest headphones and have a listen to this little 6 minute field recording I made at the time of taking the above photographs:

19th Century Graffitti ~ Norwich Cathedral

Dippy in Norwich Cathedral

I really could not visit Norwich without taking the opportunity afforded to me to see Dippy the dinosaur, which is currently being exhibited in the city cathedral.  There seems something very ironic about seeing a dinosaur being celebrated in a place of Christian worship though...

After way too long of a gap, I have finally started field recording again. As before, you will need to use a pair of decent quality headphones to really appreciate the audio in the video below:
