The Glastonbury May Day Procession, 2025

The May Day procession brought untold colour and celebration to the streets of Glastonbury:





















The Glastonbury May Queen and King:




Once the May King and May Queen has passed, it was time for the Glastonbury Green Me to present their May Pole to the crowds and carry it amongst the excited throng towards Bushy Coombe...































And to bring the procession to live, here us a video snippet of the event captured by Mrs Pixie-Led:


The weather was sunny, hot, the hottest May Day on record, in fact. And the walk up to Bushy Coombe to attend the May Pole dancing was a long and sweaty one. Despite the uphill march, however, spirits were still high when we reached the summit...

Glastonbury May Day - Part Three - Morris Dancing...

Don't ask me why, but I ticked off a Bucket List experience today by photographing Morris Dancers.







But whilst I am happy with the few pics I captured, I think the fun is best by this video, taken by Mrs Pixie-Led:


The drummers were pretty effective too:
