Fishguard

Took a visit to Fishguard today to see the Spanish galleon anchored there. Gutted I couldn't ticket this off my Bucket List though as it's sails were folded and my wish is to see a galleion in full sail out at sea. Never mind...

As has been the norm for our walks lately, the weather was extremelt pleasant and it very much felt like a summer's day that it approaching the middle of October.

Anyway, here is the galleon:

A beauty, eh?

After our wander around its decks, we continued our walk, taking regular stops to eat and drink along the way:

After over 25k steps, it was time to head home...

Binning Feeble-Minded Nonsense

This evening's walk took us in the direction of the ever-lovely Mumbles:

Our slightly earlier than usual arrival rewarded us with a pretty fine sunset:

En route, we stopped off at the West Cross Inn for a very delicious squash curry with was 10 out of 10 for both portion size and taste :)

Our bellies full, we then continued down to Mumbles for a cocktail at the Gin and Juice:

Our spirits high, we then headed back to our awaiting care...

...en route to which, we came across this feeble-minded nonsense:

Which, of course, we tore down and dumped it where it belonged:

Going up in the world

Friday night had us take in a couple more pubs after work. First though, we needed those important steps. A new route tonight led us passed this magnificent doorway - which, to all appearances, looked like the entrance of some magnificent, but daunting, otherworldly kingdom:

The entrance to Brangwyn Hall

Had an evening meal with our first beverage in Foundry & Co, before heading to the Meridian Tower's Altitude Bar.

Meridian Tower, Swansea's tallest building

En route, I stopped here - I am not usually a fan of this sculpture in the marina, but tonight it really did appear as something special:

Onwards and upwards:

Can you spot te DJ doing his thing?

The views from the top of the tower are literally breath-taking:

And then it was time to head back along Swansea Bay to our awaiting car:
