Tonight's Rare Noctilucent Cloud

Mrs Pixie-Led alerted me to these rare ice clouds, so high up in the atmosphere that the are still illuminated by the sun long after it has set. This is her photo:

And this is mine:

I think it's fair to say her pic beats mine. 🧐

Plant of the Moment...

...in our garden are our Asiatic Lilies:

Glastonbury

Working on a new art piece for my 2nd Glastonbury zine as I listen to the festival. So far, Supergrass, Kneecap, Shed 7, and best of all, Fatdog have been my highlights so far...

Angel Trumpet

I saw this ethereal Angel Trumpet jn the gloom at the bottom of our garden tonight.

A Poem for Glastonbury

I wrote a poem for Avalon 1. Looks like I am  writing one for Glastonbury too...

Library Sort Out

I am doing a major sort out of my library at the moment, having decided to lighten my shelves and get rid of a load of titles that have sleeping up in the attic doing nobody and favours. You can catch my expanding book sale here.

This disparate pair are most definitely keepers though 🙂

GNS2 - a labour of love.

It always feels good when I can finally put a project to bed. My author copies of the second GNS zine has just been delivered. I am happy with them and can now finally move on with projects new...

Tales from the Crypt

This old-timer was pushed through my letterbox today:

Avalon | Day 32/100

Making the most of an unexpected day off from the day job, I decided it was time to crack on with work on my 2nd Glastonbury zine...

Reading with the Furry Girl

Felt a little bored this evening after the Guy N Smith zine is now published. I know time is ticking on my Glastonbury zine, but was in the mood some more chilled. So out comes Grady Hendix's PAperbacks from Hell. Seeing me settle on the settee with a book, look who came to read with me:

Had to put the book away after only a short while, though, as I found myself compiling a growing list of books I know would be happy snuggled against other tomes of their ilk on my bookshelf. But I am skint!

Diviner's Pastora

My ska plant is recovering nicely after the aphid attack:

Pyewacket Nearly There...

Yep, I know I have been working on this character for a fair while now, but I'm still chisseling away at the story. It is coming together, which is good, as his first story comes out next year...

Working on Pyewacket

O2/ Millenium Arena

There, we drunk, supped, watched 28 Years Later and saw these fascinating balls which pixellated your reflection!

After which, we dropped my first-born and her fiance back at the trains station, where we bade our sad goodbyes. 😢

For now...

Anthony Gormley - Quantum Cloud

A Very Interesting Anthony Gormley sculpture, spied on the Greenwich Peninsula:

There is a space in the centre of this pile of iron bars, which can be more or less easily viewed depending on your location. This speaks of quantum physics and the fact that the way we look at the world affects the thing we are viewing things.

Damien Hirst

The Damien Hirst sculptures on The Greenwich are certainly eye-catching:

Demon with a Bowl

Demon with a Bowl

The artworks are part of a larger series entitles Treaures from the Wreck of the Unbelievale.

Over the Thames x8

Feeling brave, me and my daughter took to the cable car to cross the Thames to The Greenwich Peninsula:

A cool breeze...

... is worth all the money in the world on days like today.

A Sad Tale I'll Never Tell

London Night Light

An unbearably hot and muggy night, where I seem to have become fascinated by the London night light that seeped through to curtains intothe bedroom:
